Nick teaches playwriting for the 2016 Young Company.

Nick is co-leading the 2016 Youth Workshop.

Nick was the Associate Artistic Director of the 2016 Worldwide Plays Festival.

New School for Drama 
Nick has twice been the playwriting Teaching Artist for the BFA New Works Festival.

Young Playwrights Inc.
Nick was Literary Manager of the company from 2012-2015.   As a Teaching Artist for Young Playwrights Inc. (YPI), Nick has visited the following schools and programs:

• City Theatre’s CityWright’s Scholar Track:  A select group of Miami’s young writers were selected for the Scholars Track; Nick led these writers through an intensive version of YPI’S curriculum, culminating in staged readings of their work with professional actors.
• Stage Door Productions: Nick led a one-day intensive of YPI’s curriculum, ranging from high-school to adult participants.
• George Washington High School: Over the course of seven 50-minute classes, Nick led 30 tenth-grader writers through the fundamentals of the YPI curriculum, including Character, Dialogue, Conflict, Setting, Action and Activity, and Plot.  Culminating with readings featuring professional actors, many students left the intensive with completed short plays.
• Bank Street School for Children:
  
  Over the course of nine 45-minute classes, Nick led 38 eight-grade writers through the fundamentals, and some advanced sections, of the YPI curriculum.  Culminating with student-performed readings, writers from this program were represented in the winners and honorable mentions of the Write a Play! New York City Competition: Check them out here!

Nick led the Advanced Playwriting Workshop.  Meeting once-a-week for a yearlong program, writers analyze great plays, respond to each other’s work, engage in writing exercises, see  Off-Broadway and Broadway shows, write short plays and full-length plays, and ultimately present their work with professional directors and actors.
